2015 National and West Coast Regional Champions Crowned
Series celebrates after Pickett, Parsons, and Shultz have perfect weekends at Auto Club Speedway
October 21st,
Sonoma, CA
The Formula Car Challenge regular season finale took place this past weekend at Auto Club Speedway. The double-header races counted towards the West Coast championship, and also the RaceCast.me Triple Crown National Championship. "The races were spectacular." noted Series Official Ben Hettema. "In both races, and in all three classes, there were competitors that were only inches away from each other fighting for position. This made for some 'photo-finish' moments, which was a great way to end the season."
Saturday October 17th Race Winners:
Formula Mazda - Dutch Shultz
FormulaSPEED - Cameron Parsons

Sunday October 18th Race Winners:

After the final race on Sunday, the teams celebrated the 2015 season in one of the Corporate Suites at Auto Club Speedway. The series champions were recognized, and Steve Dix was recognized as the 2015 Formula Car Challenge Crew Member of the Year. "We have to thank all of the competitors who participated this season," added Hettema. "We had 41 unique racers participate in our events this season, and that made for some very exciting racing. Of course it also couldn't have been as successful without the help of our marketing partners; Mazda, Goodyear, Molecule, Red Line Oil, GoPro, Wine Country Motorsports, RaceCast.me, and NASA."
