About the RaceCast.me Triple Crown:
There are three "diamond" events on the Formula Car Challenge West Coast 2015 schedule. These three events will make up a "Triple Crown" to determine the 2015 Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear National Champion. The first one takes place on the July 4th race weekend at Portland International Raceway. This event is considered the Oregon Region's premier event, and is part of the SCCA US MAJORS Program.. The series has two exclusive races, but drivers can also opt to participate in the SCCA sessions making the event a possible quadruple header! In August, the Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear is a featured series during the GoPro Grand Prix alongside IndyCar at Sonoma. The 11th annual Verizon IndyCar Series event at Sonoma Raceway will serve as the season finale for the 17-race IndyCar 2015 schedule, marking the first time the wine country road course has concluded a major open-wheel series season. The final diamond event is at the Pacific Coast Road Racing Championships (PCRRC) in October at Auto Club Speedway in Southern California. |
