Star Race Cars, the Official Manufacturer of the Pro FM racing car, announced today that the car will be getting a few new performance updates in 2017 and that the support system will also be heavily invested in. Star has just completed the construction of a new 11,500 square foot manufacturing/technical facility, and is close to completion of a new online resource for ordering parts and getting technical support.
The Pro FM has always been about smart incremental improvements. Over the years, The car has been updated to stay at the front of the pack, including getting a new aero and shock package in 2009. To continue to keep the car on the cutting edge, Star will now be offering a paddle shift system with auto-blip capability.
"We are excited to announce the factory development of a paddle shift system for the Pro FM" stated Star Race Cars owner Jay Horak, "the system is a very smart electronic system that we partnered with UK company Pro-Shift on." The system is currently being tested for endurance, and is expected to be available for purchase during the 2017 season.
This update is just another part of Star Race Cars' ongoing commitment to the Pro FM and its continued success. Star Race Cars maintains a complete inventory of all Pro FM parts and still builds new cars upon request. Additional updates are also in the pipeline for the most popular carbon fiber tub formula car built in the USA. Details on those updates will be sent in future press releases.
