This past weekend the Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear took to Auto Club Speedway for an exclusive double header alongside the historic racing machines of the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association. The SVRA is the largest and one of the oldest vintage racing organizations in the United States.
The three day event started with Friday’s practice day. The weather was perfect all weekend, and the extra practice allowed teams to refined allowing teams their car setups and get their drivers up to speed with the Auto Club Speedway roval configuration. “We love racing on the roval here at Auto Club Speedway,” noted Series Official Ben Hettema. “The oval section is FAST, and the infield is technical. We had a lot of passing, and good clean racing all weekend.”
