The 2020 Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear closed out their regular season recently at Auto Club Speedway. Like most sporting events, the FCC was impacted by 2020 nationwide shutdowns. “We were able to get our opening weekend in just before everything shutdown,” stated Series Official Mark Milazzo. “Then with input from affected tracks and sanctioning bodies, we were able to quickly and safely restructure the balance of the schedule.”
With safety precautions the series was able to hold events at Thunderhill Raceway, WeatherTech Laguna Seca Raceway, Sonoma Raceway, and Auto Club Raceway during the championship and compete in 14 races. 27 unique racers competed in the Formula Mazda and Pro FM classes.
