The Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear announced their 2021 schedule today. During the 2021 season the series will be visiting Portland International Raceway, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway, Buttonwillow Raceway Park, and Thunderhill Raceway.
Racers will compete in a fourteen race championship at the west coast’s best tracks. Double header weekends will be held inside of SFR SCCA, CalClub SCCA, and Sportscar Vintage Racing Association events. The season finale will take place on Buttonwillow’s brand new 2.58 mile track featuring three hill sections and a 50 foot wide front straight.
“We are excited to work with our two local SCCA chapters, along with the national SVRA series,” noted Series Official Jan Trojan. “Within each of these organizations we have been able to secure formula groups that include only open wheel cars of similar performance. Racers can expect the same quality track time and events that they have grown accustomed to when racing in our series.”
