The Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear visited Thunderhill Raceway Park for the first two round of the the Pro FM and Formula Mazda class championships. The weather was clear, with highs in the 70’s, and the competitors were ready to get the season underway.
“It was great to have 28 cars in the field, and for 15 of them to be FCC competitors,” stated Series Official Mark Milazzo. “I think this bodes well for how the rest of the season will go. We saw a lot of new faces, and I am aware of a couple of drivers who had to miss this weekend due to other obligations. Everyone is ready to get ‘back to normal’ and do the the things they love. We love racing.”
Bill Weaver started off 2021 like it was an extension of 2020, winning both Formula Mazda races on opening weekend (He won 9 out of 14 races last season) Ethan Raap ran only two races in 2020, and won them both. He showed up to his first weekend of 2021 and did the same.
